Designed and Engineered in USA — Built for Quality and Safety

At Magic Jump, quality starts at home. Every inflatable is proudly manufactured in our USA factory using premium, commercial-grade materials. By keeping production in-house, we maintain full control over the manufacturing process — from precision stitching to final safety checks. This ensures that each unit not only looks great but also performs reliably over time.

ASTM Standards & CPSC Logo

Safety is non-negotiable in the inflatable industry. We don’t cut corners when it comes to safety. Every inflatable meets or exceeds ASTM international standards, is compliant with CPSC safety guidelines and includes key features like safety steps, safety netting, reinforced walls, anchoring points, and clear safety labels. We also go a step further, as many of our products meet the rigorous safety requirements set by the state of New Jersey, which are among the toughest in the industry, while many manufacturers fall short of these standards.

Whether you’re renting to backyard parties or large events, you can feel confident knowing your inflatable is engineered with user safety in mind.

Bounce House (Bouncer) – Basic jumping unit.

Combo Unit – Combines bouncing, sliding, and climbing features.

Obstacle Course – Inflatable with tunnels, pop-ups, and physical challenges.

Construction & Materials

PVC Vinyl – PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride. Main fabric used in commercial inflatable manufacturing.

Double/Triple Stitching – Two or three lines of reinforced sewn seams for added durability.

Airflow & Inflation Components

Air Blower – High-powered fan that inflates and maintains air pressure.

CFM – CFM stands for Cubic Feet per Minute. A measure of air volume movement; the air flow produced by an air-moving device, such as an air blower.

AMP – AMP stands for ampere. A measure of electrical current used in rating the power requirements of an electric blower.

Static Pressure – Measurement of air pressure produced by an air blower, measured in inches of water. This is roughly the amount of air pressure required to raise a column of water one inch.

Inflation Tube – A vinyl horizontal tube which connects the air blower to the inflatable and the main portal for filling the inflatable with air.

Deflation Zippers – Large zippers opening which allow for rapid air release.

Accessories

Impact Mats – Cushioned mats placed at the base or landing areas for added safety.

Misting System – Water spray system incorporated into slides or obstacles to keep users cool.

Anchor Points – Heavy duty loops sewn into the inflatable which connect to stakes or other ballast.

Stakes – Metal stake or nail used for outdoor anchoring of inflatables.

Tethers – Ropes and flat webbing material used for anchoring inflatable to stake or ballast.

Water bag – Waterproof storage bag which holds water and intended for anchoring of inflatables.

Repair Kit – Includes patches and adhesive for minor fixes.

Tarp – Placed under inflatables to protect the base from dirt and damage.

Baffle – High tear strength reinforced vinyl used to form custom shapes and guide the natural tendency of the air to form rounded shapes. Mostly used internally in inflatables. Also known as gusset.

The Hidden Costs of Cheap Inflatable Bounce Houses

There’s a certain satisfaction in spotting a low price tag — whether it’s on electronics, furniture, or everyday items, saving money always feels like a win. But not everything is better when it’s cheaper — and inflatable bounce houses are a perfect example. That bargain price can come with more headaches than it’s worth. While a cheaper unit might seem like a smart move upfront, the hidden costs often show up fast In this post, we’re breaking down exactly what those hidden costs look like and why investing in a commercial-grade bounce house is the smarter move every time.

1. Short Lifespan

Most low-cost inflatable bounce houses are made from thin nylon or 10–12 oz PVC, which is significantly less durable than the 15 oz or 18 oz commercial-grade vinyl used in professional units. These lighter materials are prone to tearing, stretching, and UV damage after just a few uses — especially outdoors.

In a rental setting, where inflatables are expected to handle frequent transport, setup, and heavy use, cheaper units may only last one season, sometimes less. In contrast, a well-made commercial unit can last 3–5 years or more with proper care.

2. Ongoing Repair Costs

Inflatable showing damaged sticking and tear

Cheap inflatable bounce houses often come with poor construction and low-quality materials, which leads to frequent damage. Seams may start to split, vinyl can tear easily, and parts may wear out much faster than expected. In the rental business, this translates to more time and money spent on repairs, which can quickly outweigh any initial savings from purchasing a cheaper unit.

The ongoing need for patching, seam reinforcement, and other repairs means you’re constantly fixing your inflatables, causing more downtime. For high-use units, this can be especially costly, leading to lost rental opportunities and increased maintenance costs.

3. Safety Concerns

Low-cost inflatable bounce houses often cut corners when it comes to safety features. Cheaper materials and construction methods may not meet the stringent safety standards required for commercial use, such as those set by ASTM or NFPA. This can lead to issues like improper inflation, inadequate anchoring, or weak seams, all of which increase the risk of accidents and injuries.

For businesses in the rental industry, safety is a top priority. A safety incident, even if minor, can result in damaged reputation, legal liabilities, or insurance claims — all of which can far exceed the savings from purchasing a cheaper unit. Investing in a high-quality, certified inflatable ensures that you meet safety standards and provide a secure environment for kids and adults alike.

4. Lack of Warranty or Support

One of the biggest risks of purchasing cheap inflatables is the lack of customer support and warranty coverage. Many budget-friendly options come with little to no warranty, meaning if something goes wrong, you’re left with few options for recourse. Whether it’s a defective unit or an issue arising after a few months of use, the absence of manufacturer support can quickly turn a “good deal” into a costly problem.

In contrast, reputable manufacturers of commercial-grade inflatables typically offer warranties and customer service to assist with repairs or replacement parts. This added protection ensures that you’re covered in case of any issues and that your business can continue operating without interruptions.

The Hidden Costs of Cheap Inflatables

Cheap Inflatable Bounce House

While cheap inflatable bounce houses may seem like a tempting deal, the hidden costs quickly add up. Frequent downtime for repairs, safety issues, and poor performance can lead to missed rental opportunities, lost revenue, and a damaged reputation. If your inflatables are out of commission due to poor quality, you’ll find yourself turning down bookings and losing profits.

Furthermore, the negative customer experience created by safety concerns or poor performance can damage your reputation. Word-of-mouth and repeat business are essential in the rental industry, and one bad experience can cost you future customers, ultimately outweighing any initial savings from a cheaper purchase.

Investing in high-quality, commercial-grade inflatables ensures long-term success, saving you from ongoing costs and protecting your business from lost revenue and damaged reputation.
